The Prologue To John's Gospel

³ All things came to be through him, and apart from him not even one thing came to be that has come to be. ⁴ In him was life, and the life was the light of men. ⁵ And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

John 5:26

For as the Father has life in himself, so also he gave to the Son to have life in himself.

John 8:12

Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me would, no, not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.

Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, even though he died, he will live.

Jesus says to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father, except by me.
