³ All things came into being through him, and apart from him nothing that exists came into being. ⁴ In him was life, and the life was the light of men. ⁵ And the light is shining in the darkness, and the darkness has not overwhelmed it

John 5:26

"For as the Father has life in himself, so also has he granted to the Son to have life in himself.
