the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John
After these things Jesus
was walking in Galilee, for He was unwilling to walk in Judea because the Jews were seeking to kill Him.
And He went away
again beyond the Jordan to the place where John was first baptizing, and He was staying there.
Jesus answered him,
“I have spoken openly to the world; I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all the Jews come together; and I spoke nothing in secret.
For no one does anything in secret
when he himself seeks to be known publicly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.”
