After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.
and after getting into a boat, they started to cross the sea
to Capernaum. It had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
and leaving Nazareth, He came and
settled in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali.
And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will descend to Hades; for if the miracles had occurred in Sodom which occurred in you, it would have remained to this day.
And his brethren
brothers said to Him, “Leave here and go into Judea, so that Your disciples also may see Your works which You are doing.
While He was still speaking to the crowds, behold, His mother and brothers were standing outside, seeking to speak to Him.
Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not
His mother called Mary, and His brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?
Is not this
the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? Are not His sisters here with us?” And they took offense at Him.
When they had entered the city, they went up to
the upper room where they were staying; that is, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.
1 Corinthians 9:5
Do we not have a right to take along a believing wife, even as the rest of the apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?
But I did not see any other of the apostles except
James, the Lord’s brother.
