¹⁴ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up ¹⁵ that every one who believeth in him may have everlasting life. ¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave the only begotten Son, that every one who believeth in him may not perish, but may have everlasting life.
