Judges 21:1

A Decision Is Made About The Tribe Of Benjamin

¹ Now the men of Israel had sworn in Mizpah, saying, “None of us shall give his daughter to Benjamin in marriage.” ² The people of Israel went to Bethel and sat there in the presence of God until evening. They lifted their voices and wept bitterly.

Judges 20:1

The people of Israel came from Dan in the north to Beersheba in the south, as well as from the land of Gilead in the east. They were united in Jehovah's presence at Mizpah.

Judges 21:18

We cannot allow them to marry our daughters. We have put a curse on anyone who allows a Benjaminite to marry one of our daughters.

Exodus 34:12-16

Watch yourself that you make no covenant with the inhabitants of the land into which you are going. It will become a snare in your midst.

1 Samuel 14:24

And all the people were with Saul. There were about twenty thousand men. The fight was general through all the mountains of Ephraim. Saul made a great error that day. He put the people under an oath, saying: Let that man be cursed who eats any food before evening. I have taken vengeance on my enemies. So the people did not eat.
