Leviticus 20:23

You Shall Be Holy

²² “You are to keep all My statutes and all My ordinances, and do them, so that the land where I am bringing you to live will not vomit you out. ²³ You must not follow the statutes of the nations I am driving out before you, for they did all these things, and I abhorred them. ²⁴ And I promised you: You will inherit their land, since I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am Yahweh your God who set you apart from the peoples.

Walk in the Ways of

Leviticus 18:3

Do not follow the practices of the land of Egypt, where you used to live, or follow the practices of the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. You must not follow their customs.

Leviticus 18:24

“Do not defile yourselves by any of these practices, for the nations I am driving out before you have defiled themselves by all these things.

Leviticus 18:30

You must keep My instruction to not do any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them; I am Yahweh your God.”

Leviticus 18:27

For the men who were in the land prior to you have committed all these detestable things, and the land has become defiled.

Deuteronomy 9:5

You are not going to take possession of their land because of your righteousness or your integrity. Instead, the Lord your God will drive out these nations before you because of their wickedness, in order to keep the promise He swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Deuteronomy 12:30-31

be careful not to be ensnared by their ways after they have been destroyed before you. Do not inquire about their gods, asking, ‘How did these nations worship their gods? I’ll also do the same.’
