Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.
Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they
ought to pray and not to lose heart,
Then he said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.” But he said, “
I will not let you go unless you bless me.”
And a Canaanite woman from that region came out and began to cry out, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord,
Son of David; my daughter is cruelly demon-possessed.”
Now I urge you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by
the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,
2 Corinthians 12:8
Concerning this I implored the Lord
three times that it might leave me.
For I want you to know how great a
struggle I have on your behalf and for those who are at Laodicea, and for all those who have not personally seen my face,
Epaphras, who is one of your number, a bondslave of Jesus Christ, sends you his greetings, always laboring earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.
