No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
But Jesus said to him,
“Do not hinder him; for he who is not against you is for you.”
He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me, scatters.
If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or
the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Then Jesus *said to him,
“Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘.’” You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only
“ No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
Do you not
know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?
For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on
the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
1 John 2:15
Do not love
the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
“ If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.
