and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, “ How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”
A Song. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. For the choir director; according to Mahalath Leannoth. A Maskil of Heman the Ezrahite. O Lord, the God of my salvation, I have cried out by day and in the night before You.
May the Lord judge between you and me, and may the Lord avenge me on you; but my hand shall not be against you.
David also said, “As the Lord lives, surely the Lord will strike him, or his day will come that he dies, or he will go down into battle and perish.
And He will judge the world in righteousness; He will execute judgment for the peoples with equity.
Break the arm of the wicked and the evildoer, Seek out his wickedness until You find none.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David. How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?
For the choir director; on stringed instruments. A Maskil of David, when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, “Is not David hiding himself among us?” Save me, O God, by Your name, And vindicate me by Your power.
