The Prophecy Of Simeon

²⁵ Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Symeon, an upright and devout man, who was on the outlook for the Consolation of Israel. The holy Spirit was upon him; ²⁶ indeed it had been revealed to him by the holy Spirit that he was not to see death before he had seen the Lord messiah. ²⁷ By an inspiration of the Spirit he came to the temple, and when the parents of the child Jesus carried him in to perform the customary regulations of the law for him,
