2 and was there forty days, to be tempted by the devil. And he ate nothing during those days; and when they were ended, he was afterward hungry.

9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and placed him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him: If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from this place;

12 And Jesus answered and said to him: It is said, You shall not put the Lord your God to the proof.

20 And he rolled up the volume, and save it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all that were in the synagogue were earnestly fixed upon him.

23 And he said to them: You will assuredly apply to me this proverb, Physician, heal yourself. Whatever things we have heard were done in Capernaum, do also here in your country.
23 And He said to them, “No doubt you will quote this proverb to Me, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we heard was done (X)at Capernaum, do here in (Y)your hometown as well.’”
23 And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.
23 Then He said to them, “No doubt you will quote this proverb(q) to Me: ‘Doctor, heal yourself. So all we’ve heard that took place in Capernaum,(R) do here in Your hometown also.’”
23 So he told them, "You will probably quote this proverb to me, "Doctor, heal yourself! Do everything here in your hometown that we hear you did in Capernaum.'"
25 And I tell you, in truth, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up for three years and six months, so that a great famine was on all the land:

26 and to no one of them was Elijah sent, but to Sarepta, a city of Sidon, to a woman that was a widow.
26 and yet Elijah was sent to none of them, but (AB)only to (l)Zarephath, in the land of (AC)Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.
26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.

28 And all that were in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with anger,

29 and arose, and drove him out of the city, and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw him down headlong.

35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying: Be silent, and come out of him. And the demon threw him into the midst, and came out of him, and hurt him not.
