Taking Up One's Cross To Follow Jesus

³⁴ And, calling the multitude to Him with His disciples, He said to them, "If any one wishes to come after Me, let him disown himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. ³⁵  For whosoever would save his soul shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his soul for My sake and the Gospel's, shall save it. ³⁶ For what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and suffer damage as to his soul?
