"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through, and steal;

saying, "Men! I perceive that the voyage is likely to be with violence and much loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.

And, not many days after, gathering all things together, the younger son went abroad into a far country, and there wasted his estate, living riotously.

And it came to pass soon afterwards that He went to a city called Nain; and there were going with Him His disciples, and a large multitude. And, as He came near to the gate of the city, behold, also there was being carried out one dead, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a large crowd of the city was with her. And, seeing her, the Lord was moved with compassion towards her, and said to her, "Weep not."

And to the married I give command??ot I, but the Lord??hat the wife depart not from her husband; but if she even depart, let her remain unmarried, or let her be reconciled to her husband; and that the husband leave not his wife. But to the rest say I, not the Lord: If any brother has an unbelieving wife, and she is pleased to dwell with him, let him not leave her.read more.
And, if any wife has an unbelieving husband, and he is pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave her husband. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified in the brother; else your children are unclean; but as it is they are holy. But, if the unbelieving departs, let him depart. The brother or the sister has not come into bondage in such cases; but God hath called us in peace.

And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led away captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by gentiles, until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled.

through glory and dishonor, through evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true;

And He said also to His disciples, "There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and the same was accused to him as squandering his goods. And, calling him, he said to him, 'What is this I hear of you? Render the account of your stewardship; for you can be no longer steward.' And the steward said in himself, 'What shall I do? because my lord takes away the stewardship from me! To dig, I have not strength; to beg, I am ashamed!

And much time having been spent, and sailing being already dangerous, because also the fast had already gone by, Paul was admonishing them,

awarding vengeance to those who know not God, and to those who obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus; who, indeed, shall pay a penalty, eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might, when He shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be marveled at in all who believed (because our testimony to you was believed), in that day.

for what will a man be profited, if he gain the whole world, and suffer damage as to his soul? or what will a man give as an exchange for his soul?

For what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and suffer damage as to his soul?

For what is a man profited, in having gained the whole world, but having lost or forfeited himself?

But God said to him, 'Senseless one! this night they require your soul of you; and the things you prepared, whose shall they be?' So is he who is laying up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."

lest there be any fornicator or profane person, as Esau, who, for one meal, yielded up his own birth-right. For ye know that even after that, when wishing to inherit the blessing, he was rejected; for he found no place for repentance, although he earnestly sought it with tears.

But he who heard and did not, is like a man who built a house upon the earth without a foundation; against which the stream broke, and straightway it collapsed; and the ruin of that house was great."

"Therefore, I say to you, the Kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruit thereof.

But his lord, answering, said to him, 'Wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter. It behooved you, therefore, to put my money to the bankers; and, at my coming, I would have received my own with interest. Take from him, therefore, the talent, and give it to him who has the ten talents.'read more.
For, to every one that has, shall be given, and he shall be made to abound; but from him that has not shall be taken away even what he has; and cast out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness: there will be the weeping, and the gnashing of teeth!

And, if any one builds on the foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; the work of each one shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will prove each one's work, of what sort it is. If any one's work which he built thereon shall remain, he shall receive a reward.read more.
If any one's work shall be burned up, he will suffer loss, but he himself shall be saved; yet so as through fire.

For as to those who were once enlightened, and tasted of the heavenly gift, and became partakers of the Holy Spirit, and tasted the good word of God and the powers of the coming age, and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they are crucifying to themselves the Son of God afresh, and putting Him to open shame.

Who, existing originally in the form of God, accounted it not a prize to he equal with God. but emptied Himself, taking a slave's form, coming to be in the likeness of men; and, being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, becoming obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.read more.

for whosoever wishes to save his soul shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose his soul for My sake shall find it;

For whosoever would save his soul shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his soul for My sake and the Gospel's, shall save it.

For whosoever wishes to save his soul shall lose it; but whosoever will lose his soul for My sake, the same shall save it.
