Persecution Of Disciples Predicted

¹⁶ I send you as sheep in the midst of wolves. Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. ¹⁷ But beware of men, for they will hand you over to the courts and scourge you in their synagogues; ¹⁸ You will be taken before governors and kings for my sake. This will serve as a testimony to them and to the people of the nations.
