Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
1 Kings 18:27
It came about at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, “Call out with a loud voice, for he is a god; either he is occupied or gone aside, or is on a journey, or perhaps he is asleep and needs to be awakened.”
Rejoice, young man, during your childhood, and let your heart be pleasant during the days of young manhood. And follow the
impulses of your heart and the desires of your eyes. Yet know that God will bring you to judgment for all these things.
“ You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man is to be handed over for crucifixion.”
And He *came the third time, and *said to them,
“ Are you still sleeping and resting? It is enough; the hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.
While I was with you daily in the temple, you did not lay hands on Me; but this hour and the power of darkness are yours.”
Now before the Feast of
the Passover, Jesus knowing that His hour had come that He would depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.
Jesus spoke these things; and
lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You,
