Pilate Releases Barabbas

¹⁸ For he knew well, that for envy they had delivered him. ¹⁹ When he was set down to give judgment, his wife sent to him, saying, "Have thou nothing to do with that just man, I have suffered many things this day in a dream about him." ²⁰ But the chief priests and the elders had persuaded the people, that they should ask Barabbas, and should destroy Jesus.
