¹ When it was morning, all the high priests and elders of the people held a consultation about Jesus, with a view to putting him to death. ² And they bound him and led him away and handed him over to Pilate the governor. ³ Then Judas who had betrayed him, when he saw that he had been condemned, in his remorse brought back the thirty silver pieces to the high priests and elders,
