¹² But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, Those that are whole need not a physician, but those that are sick. ¹³ But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, and not sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” ¹⁴ Then the disciples of John came to him, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but thy disciples do not fast?
