And their strong cities are Ziddim, Zer, Hamath, Rakkath and Chinnereth; Adamah, Ramah and Hazor; Kadesh, Edrei, and Enhazor; Yiron, Migdalel, Horem, Bethanath and Bethshemesh: Nineteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali by their kindreds: these cities and their villages.

Upon the borders of Asher from the east part unto the west shall Naphtali have his portion.


And Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa and sent the captains of the hosts which he had against the cities of Israel, and smote Ijon, Dan, Abel called Bethmaacah and all Chinnereth with all the land of Naphtali.

And hindmost of all the host came the standard of the host of the children of Dan with their armies: whose captain was, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher, was Pagiel the son of Ochran. And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, was Ahira the son of Enan.


Among the children of Naphtali, their generation in their kindreds and houses of their fathers - when their names were told, from twenty years and above, whatsoever was mete to war - were numbered in the tribe of Naphtali fifty three thousand and four hundred.

The children of Naphtali in their kindreds were: Jahzeel, of whom came the kindred of the Jahzeelites; and Guni, of whom came the kindred of the Gunites; and of Jezer, came the kindred of the Jezerites; and of Shillem the kindred of Shillemites. These are the kindreds of Naphtali in their generations, in number forty five thousand and four hundred.

Even like as in time past it hath been well seen, that the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, wherethrough the sea way goeth over Jordan in to the land of Galilee, was at the first in little trouble, but afterward sore vexed. The people that have dwelt in darkness, shall see a great light. As for them that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them shall the light shine.
