Humility And Unity

11 If there is therefore any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion,

11 Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion,

11 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

11 If then there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,

11 Therefore, if there is any encouragement in the Messiah, if there is any comfort of love, if there is any fellowship in the Spirit, if there is any compassion and sympathy,

22 make my joy full, by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;

22 make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.

22 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

22 fulfill my joy by thinking the same way, having the same love, sharing the same feelings, focusing on one goal.

22 then fill me with joy by having the same attitude, sharing the same love, being united in spirit, and keeping one purpose in mind.

33 doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;

33 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;

33 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

33 Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.

33 Do not act out of selfish ambition or conceit, but with humility think of others as being better than yourselves.

44 each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.

44 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.

44 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

44 Everyone should look out not [only] for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

44 Do not be concerned about your own interests, but also be concerned about the interests of others.

Christ's Humiliation And Exaltation

55 Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,

55 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,

55 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

55 Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus,

55 Have the same attitude among yourselves that was also in the Messiah Jesus:

66 who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,

66 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,

66 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

66 who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage.

66 In God's own form existed he, and shared with God equality, deemed nothing needed grasping.

77 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.

77 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.

77 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

77 Instead He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave, taking on the likeness of men. And when He had come as a man in His external form,

77 Instead, poured out in emptiness, a servant's form did he possess, a mortal man becoming. In human form he chose to be,

88 And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross.

88 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

88 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

88 He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death-even to death on a cross.

88 and lived in all humility, death on a cross obeying.

99 Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name;

99 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,

99 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

99 For this reason God also highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name,

99 Now lifted up by God to heaven, a name above all others given, this matchless name possessing.

1010 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth,

1010 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

1010 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

1010 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow- of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth-

1010 And so, when Jesus' name is called, the knees of everyone should fall, wherever they're residing.

1111 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

1111 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

1111 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

1111 and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

1111 Then every tongue in one accord, will say that Jesus the Messiah is Lord, while God the Father praising.

Holding Fast To The Word Of Life

1212 So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

1212 So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling;

1212 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

1212 So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now even more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

1212 And so, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only when I was with you but even more now that I am absent, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

1313 For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.

1313 for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

1313 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

1313 For it is God who is working in you, [enabling you] both to will and to act for His good purpose.

1313 For it is God who is producing in you both the desire and the ability to do what pleases him.

1414 Do all things without murmurings and disputes,

1414 Do all things without grumbling or disputing;

1414 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

1414 Do everything without grumbling and arguing,

1414 Do everything without complaining or arguing

1515 that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world,

1515 so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,

1515 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

1515 so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God who are faultless in a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world.

1515 so that you may be blameless and innocent, God's children without any faults among a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world

1616 holding up the word of life; that I may have something to boast in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain nor labor in vain.

1616 holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.

1616 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

1616 Hold firmly the message of life. Then I can boast in the day of Christ that I didn't run in vain or labor for nothing.

1616 as you hold firmly to the word of life. Then I will be proud when the Messiah returns that I did not run in vain or work hard in vain.

1717 Yes, and if I am poured out on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice, and rejoice with you all.

1717 But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.

1717 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

1717 But even if I am poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.

1717 Yet even if I am being poured out like an offering as part of the sacrifice and service I offer for your faith, I rejoice, and I share my joy with all of you.

1818 In the same way, you also rejoice, and rejoice with me.

1818 You too, I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.

1818 For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.

1818 In the same way you also should rejoice and share your joy with me.

1818 In the same way, you also should rejoice and share your joy with me.

Timothy's Proven Character

1919 But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered up when I know how you are doing.

1919 But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, so that I also may be encouraged when I learn of your condition.

1919 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.

1919 Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon so that I also may be encouraged when I hear news about you.

1919 Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon so that I can be encouraged when I learn of your condition.

2020 For I have no one else like-minded, who will truly care about you.

2020 For I have no one else of kindred spirit who will genuinely be concerned for your welfare.

2020 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.

2020 For I have no one else like-minded who will genuinely care about your interests;

2020 I do not have anyone else like him who takes a genuine interest in your welfare.

2121 For they all seek their own, not the things of Jesus Christ.

2121 For they all seek after their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus.

2121 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.

2121 all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.

2121 For all the others look after their own interests, not after those of Jesus the Messiah.

2222 But you know the proof of him, that, as a child serves a father, so he served with me in furtherance of the Good News.

2222 But you know of his proven worth, that he served with me in the furtherance of the gospel like a child serving his father.

2222 But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.

2222 But you know his proven character, because he has served with me in the gospel ministry like a son with a father.

2222 But you know his proven worth how like a son with his father he served with me in the gospel.

2323 Therefore I hope to send him at once, as soon as I see how it will go with me.

2323 Therefore I hope to send him immediately, as soon as I see how things go with me;

2323 Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.

2323 Therefore, I hope to send him as soon as I see how things go with me.

2323 Therefore, I hope to send him as soon as I see how things are going to turn out for me.

2424 But I trust in the Lord that I myself also will come shortly.

2424 and I trust in the Lord that I myself also will be coming shortly.

2424 But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.

2424 And I am convinced in the Lord that I myself will also come quickly.

2424 Indeed, I am confident in the Lord that I will come to visit you soon.

Epaphroditus' Mission

2525 But I counted it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, fellow soldier, and your apostle and servant of my need;

2525 But I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger and minister to my need;

2525 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.

2525 But I considered it necessary to send you Epaphroditus-my brother, co-worker, and fellow soldier, as well as your messenger and minister to my need-

2525 Meanwhile, I thought it best to send Epaphroditus my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, but your messenger and minister to my need back to you.

2626 since he longed for you all, and was very troubled, because you had heard that he was sick.

2626 because he was longing for you all and was distressed because you had heard that he was sick.

2626 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.

2626 since he has been longing for all of you and was distressed because you heard that he was sick.

2626 For he has been longing for all of you and is troubled because you heard that he was sick.

2727 For indeed he was sick, nearly to death, but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow on sorrow.

2727 For indeed he was sick to the point of death, but God had mercy on him, and not on him only but also on me, so that I would not have sorrow upon sorrow.

2727 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.

2727 Indeed, he was so sick that he nearly died. However, God had mercy on him, and not only on him but also on me, so that I would not have one grief on top of another.

2727 Indeed, he was sick to the point of death, but God had mercy on him, and not only on him but also on me, so that I would not have one sorrow on top of another.

2828 I have sent him all the more eagerly, therefore, so that when you see him again you may rejoice, and that I may be less anxious.

2828 Therefore I have sent him all the more eagerly so that when you see him again you may rejoice and I may be less concerned about you.

2828 I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.

2828 For this reason, I am very eager to send him so that you may rejoice when you see him again and I may be less anxious.

2828 Therefore, I am especially eager to send him so that you may have the joy of seeing him again, and so that I may feel relieved.

2929 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy, and hold such in honor,

2929 Receive him then in the Lord with all joy, and hold men like him in high regard;

2929 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:

2929 Therefore, welcome him in the Lord with all joy and hold men like him in honor,

2929 So joyfully welcome him in the Lord and make sure you honor such people highly,

3030 because for the work of Christ he came near to death, risking his life to supply that which was lacking in your service toward me.

3030 because he came close to death for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was deficient in your service to me.

3030 Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.

3030 because he came close to death for the work of Christ, risking his life to make up what was lacking in your ministry to me.

3030 because he came close to death for the work of the Messiah by risking his life to complete what remained unfinished in your service to me.
