Proverbs 12

² A good man is acceptable unto the LORD; but the wicked will he condemn.

² A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

² A ^(A)good man will obtain favor from the Lord,But He will condemn a man ^(b)who devises evil.

² The good person obtains favor from the Lord,^(B)but He condemns a man who schemes.^(C)

² The good person will gain favor from the LORD, but the man who plots evil will be condemned by him.

⁴ A steadfast woman is a crown unto her husband; but she that behaveth herself dishonestly is a corruption in his bones.

⁴ A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

⁴ An ^(c)(D)excellent wife is the crown of her husband,But she who shames him is like ^(E)rottenness in his bones.

⁴ A capable wife^(a) is her husband’s crown,^(E)but a wife who causes shameis like rottenness in his bones.^(F)

⁶ The talking of the ungodly is how they may lay wait for blood; but the mouth of the righteous will deliver them.

⁶ The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

¹⁴ Every man shall enjoy good according to the innocency of his mouth; and after the works of his hands shall he be rewarded.

¹⁴ A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.

¹⁴ A man will be satisfied with goodby the words of his mouth,^(Q)and the work of a man’s hands will reward him.^(R)

¹⁴ By his fruitful speech a man can remain satisfied, and a man's handiwork will reward him.

¹⁶ A fool uttereth his wrath in all the haste, but a discreet man forgiveth wrong.

¹⁶ A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.

¹⁶ A ^(R)fool’s anger is known at once,But a prudent man conceals dishonor.

¹⁶ A fool’s displeasure is known at once,but whoever ignores an insult is sensible.^(T)

¹⁶ The anger of a fool becomes readily apparent, but the prudent person overlooks an insult.

¹⁸ A slanderous person pricketh like a sword; but a wise man's tongue is wholesome.

¹⁸ There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

²⁰ They that imagine evil in their mind, will deceive; but the counselors of peace shall have joy following them.

²⁴ A diligent hand shall bear rule; but the idle shall be under tribute.

²⁴ The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.

²⁴ The hand of the diligent will rule,But the ^(j)slack hand will be ^(Y)put to forced labor.
