¹³ The indigent and the oppressor meet together; Jehovah lighteneth the eyes of them both. ¹⁴ A king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever. ¹⁵ The rod and reproof give wisdom; but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

Cause of the Poor

Proverbs 16:12

It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness; for the throne is established by righteousness.

Psalm 72:2-4

He will judge thy people with righteousness, and thine afflicted with judgment.

Proverbs 25:5

take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness.

Proverbs 29:4

A king by just judgment establisheth the land; but he that taketh gifts overthroweth it.

Isaiah 11:4
