⁷ Our fathers, when they were in Egypt, did not consider your wondrous works; they did not remember the abundance of your steadfast love, but rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea. ⁸ Nevertheless He saved them for the sake of His name,
That He might make His power known.
⁹ He rebuked the Red Sea, and it became dry, and he led them through the deep as through a desert.

Exodus 9:16

But for this purpose I have raised you up, to show you my power, so that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.

Ezekiel 20:9

But I acted for the sake of my name, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations among whom they lived, in whose sight I made myself known to them in bringing them out of the land of Egypt.
