1 Praise ye Jah. Praise ye the name of Jehovah; praise, ye servants of Jehovah,
1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.
1 Hallelujah! Praise the name of the LORD! Give praise, you servants of the LORD,
2 Standing in the house of Jehovah, in the enclosures of the house of our God.
2 Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,
2 you who are standing in the LORD's Temple, in the courtyards of the house of our God.
3 Praise ye Jah; for Jehovah is good: play on the harp to his name, for it is pleasant
3 Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.
3 Praise the LORD, because the LORD is good; Sing to his name, for he is gracious.
4 For Jah chose to himself Jacob; Israel for his property.
4 For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.
4 It is Jacob whom the LORD chose for himself Israel as his personal possession.
5 For I knew that great is Jehovah, and our Lord above all gods.
5 For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.
5 Indeed, I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord surpasses all gods.
6 All which Jehovah delighted in he did, in the heavens and in the earth, in the seas and all the depths.
6 Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
6 The LORD does whatever pleases him in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all its deep regions.
7 Causing the liftings up to ascend from the ends of the earth; he made lightnings for the rain; bringing forth the wind from his treasures.
7 He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
7 He makes the clouds rise from the ends of the earth, fashioning lightning for the rain, bringing the wind from his storehouses.
8 He struck the first-born of Egypt., from man even to cattle.
8 Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.
8 It was the LORD who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, including both men and animals.
9 He sent signs and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
9 Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
9 He sent signs and wonders among you, Egypt, before Pharaoh and all his servants.
11 To Sihon, king of the Amorites, and to Og, king of Bashan, and to all the kings of Canaan:
11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:
11 Sihon, king of the Amorites, Og, king of Bashan, and every kingdom of Canaan
12 And he gave their land an inheritance, an inheritance to Israel his people.
12 And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.
12 and he gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to his people Israel.
13 O Jehovah, thy name is forever; O Jehovah, thy remembrance to generation and generation.
13 Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.
13 Your name, LORD, exists forever, and your reputation, LORD, throughout the ages.
14 For Jehovah will judge his people, and he will compassion upon his servants.
14 For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.
14 For the LORD will vindicate his people, and he will show compassion on his servants.
15 The images of the nation are silver and gold, the work of man's hands.
15 The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, worked by the hands of human beings.
16 A mouth to them, and they shall not speak; eyes to them, and they shall not see;
16 They have mouths, but they do not speak;They have eyes, but they do not see;
16 They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
16 Mouths are attributed to them, but they cannot speak; sight is attributed to them, but they cannot see;
17 Ears to them, and they shall not hear; also there is no spirit in their mouth.
17 They have ears, but they do not hear,Nor is there any breath at all in their mouths.
17 They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.
17 ears are attributed to them, but they do not hear, and there is no breath in their mouths.
18 They making them shall be as they: every one who trusted in them.
18 Those who make them will be like them,Yes, everyone who trusts in them.
18 They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.
18 Those who craft them and all who trust in them will become like them.
19 O house of Israel, bless ye Jehovah: O house of Aaron, praise ye Jehovah:
19 Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:
19 House of Israel, bless the LORD! House of Aaron, bless the LORD!
20 O house of Levi, praise ye Jehovah: ye fearing Jehovah, praise Jehovah.
20 Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.
20 House of Levi, bless the LORD! You who fear the LORD, bless the LORD!
21 Blessed be Jehovah from Zion, dwelling in Jerusalem. Praise ye Jah.
21 Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
21 Blessed be the LORD from Zion, he who lives in Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
