Praise To Yahweh For His Providence
1 Praise the Lord!For it is good to sing praises to our [gracious and majestic] God;Praise is becoming and appropriate.
1 Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

1 Hallelujah! It is good to sing praise to our God, and it is fitting to sing glorious praise.
8 Who covers the heavens with clouds,Who provides rain for the earth,Who makes grass grow on the mountains.
8 Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

8 who covers the sky with clouds,prepares rain for the earth,and causes grass to grow on the hills.(I)
8 He shields the heavens with clouds, preparing rain for the earth and making grass grow on the hills.
10 He does not delight in the strength (military power) of the horse,Nor does He take pleasure in the legs (strength) of a man.
10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.

10 He takes no delight in the strength of a horse, and gains no pleasure in the runner's swiftness.
11 The Lord favors those who fear and worship Him [with awe-inspired reverence and obedience],Those who wait for His mercy and lovingkindness.(B)
11 The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
11 But the LORD is pleased with those who fear him, with those who depend on his gracious love.
18 He sends out His word and melts the ice;He causes His wind to blow and the waters to flow.
