Israel's Complaint

¹³ Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a mockery and a derision for them that are round about us; ¹⁴ Thou makest us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the peoples. ¹⁵ All the day my confusion is before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me,

Jeremiah 24:9

And I will give them over to be driven hither and thither unto all the kingdoms of the earth for evil, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them;

2 Kings 19:21
