33 God, in her palaces, Has made Himself known as a stronghold.

33 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

33 God is known as a stronghold in its citadels.

33 Within her citadels God is known as a place of refuge.

33 God has made Himself known in her palaces as a Refuge (a High Tower and a Stronghold).

44 For, lo, the kings assembled themselves, They passed by together.

44 For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

44 Look! The kings assembled; they advanced together.

44 Behold, when the kings assembled together, when they traveled together,

44 For, behold, the kings assembled, they came onward and they passed away together.

55 They saw it, then they were amazed; They were terrified, they fled in alarm.

55 They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.

55 They looked, and froze with fear; they fled in terror.

55 they looked and were awestruck; they became afraid and ran away.

55 They looked, they were amazed; they were stricken with terror and took to flight [affrighted and dismayed].

66 Panic seized them there, Anguish, as of a woman in childbirth.

66 Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

66 Trembling seized them there, agony like that of a woman in labor,

66 Trembling seized them there, pains like those of a woman in labor,

66 Trembling took hold of them there, and pain as of a woman in childbirth.

77 With the east wind You break the ships of Tarshish.

77 Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

77 as You wrecked the ships of Tarshish with the east wind.

77 as when an east wind destroyed the ships of Tarshish.

77 With the east wind You shattered the ships of Tarshish.

88 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.

88 Just as we heard, so we have seen in the city of the Lord of Hosts, in the city of our God; God will establish it forever. Selah

88 Just as we have heard, so have we seen; in the city of the LORD of the heavenly armies even in the city of our God God will establish her forever. Interlude

88 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it forever. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

99 We have thought on Your lovingkindness, O God, In the midst of Your temple.

99 We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

99 God, within Your temple, we contemplate Your faithful love.

99 God, we have meditated on your gracious love in the midst of your Temple.

99 We have thought of Your steadfast love, O God, in the midst of Your temple.

1010 As is Your name, O God, So is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness.

1010 According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

1010 Your name, God, like Your praise, reaches to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is filled with justice.

1010 God, according to your name, so is your praise to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with righteousness.

1010 As is Your name, O God, so is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness (rightness and justice).

1111 Let Mount Zion be glad, Let the daughters of Judah rejoice Because of Your judgments.

1111 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

1111 Mount Zion is glad. The towns of Judah rejoice because of Your judgments.

1111 Mount Zion will be glad; the towns of Judah will rejoice because of your judgments.

1111 Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of Your [righteous] judgments!

1212 Walk about Zion and go around her; Count her towers;

1212 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.

1212 Go around Zion, encircle it; count its towers,

1212 March around Zion; encircle her; count her towers.

1212 Walk about Zion, and go round about her, number her towers (her lofty and noble deeds of past days),

1313 Consider her ramparts; Go through her palaces, That you may tell it to the next generation.

1313 Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that ye may tell it to the generation following.

1313 note its ramparts; tour its citadels so that you can tell a future generation:

1313 Take note of her ramparts; investigate her citadels; that you may speak about them to the next generation.

1313 Consider well her ramparts, go through her palaces and citadels, that you may tell the next generation [and cease recalling disappointments].

1414 For such is God, Our God forever and ever; He will guide us until death.

1414 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

1414 "This God, our God forever and ever- He will lead us eternally."

1414 For this God is our God forever and ever. He will guide us until death. To the Director: A song by the Sons of Korah.

1414 For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide [even] until death.
