4 For look, the kings assemble; they advance together.

4 For, lo, the (H)kings assembled themselves,They passed by together.

4 For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

4 Look! The kings assembled;they advanced together.(D)

4 Behold, when the kings assembled together, when they traveled together,

5 As soon as they see, they are shocked; they are terrified, they quickly retreat.

5 They saw it, then they were amazed; They were (I)terrified, they (a)fled in alarm.

5 They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.

5 They looked and froze with fear;they fled in terror.(E)

5 they looked and were awestruck; they became afraid and ran away.

6 Look at them shake uncontrollably, like a woman writhing in childbirth.

6 (b)Panic seized them there,Anguish, as of (J)a woman in childbirth.

6 Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

6 Trembling seized them there, agony like that of a woman in labor,(F)

6 Trembling seized them there, pains like those of a woman in labor,

7 With an east wind you shatter the large ships.

7 Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

7 as You wrecked the ships of Tarshishwith the east wind.(G)

7 as when an east wind destroyed the ships of Tarshish.

8 We heard about God's mighty deeds, now we have seen them, in the city of the Lord, the invincible Warrior, in the city of our God. God makes it permanently secure. (Selah)

8 As we have heard, so have we seenIn the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God;God will (N)establish her forever. (c)Selah.

8 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.

12 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.

12 Go around Zion, encircle it;count its towers,

12 March around Zion; encircle her; count her towers.

13 Consider its defenses! Walk through its fortresses, so you can tell the next generation about it!
