                                    1 For the music director; according to the al-tashcheth style; a prayer of David, written when he fled from Saul into the cave. Have mercy on me, O God! Have mercy on me! For in you I have taken shelter. In the shadow of your wings I take shelter until trouble passes.                                

                                    1 {To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave.} Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

A (b)Mikhtam of David, (c)when he fled from Saul in the cave.Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me,For my soul (A)takes refuge in You;And in the (B)shadow of Your wings I will take refugeUntil destruction (C)passes by.

                                    1 Have mercy on me, God, have mercy, for in you I have placed my trust. Even in the shadow of your wings will I find my refuge until this calamity passes.
