¹³ The sea was cut in two so that they might go through; the waters were massed together on this side and on that. ¹⁴ In the daytime he was guiding them in the cloud, and all through the night with a light of fire. ¹⁵ The rocks of the waste land were broken by his power, and he gave them drink as out of the deep waters.

Pillar of Fire

Psalm 105:39

A cloud was stretched over them for a cover; and he sent fire to give light in the night.

Exodus 14:24

And in the morning watch, the Lord, looking out on the armies of the Egyptians from the pillar of fire and cloud, sent trouble on the army of the Egyptians;

And you went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night, to give them light on the way they were to go.

Even then, in your great mercy, you did not give them up in the waste land: the pillar of cloud still went before them by day, guiding them on their way, and the pillar of fire by night, to give them light, and make clear the way they were to go.
