Prayer Against Enemies

11 O God, do not remain quiet; Do not be silent and, O God, do not be still.

11 {A Song or Psalm of Asaph.} Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

11 God, do not keep silent. Do not be deaf, God; do not be idle.

11 God, do not rest! Don't be silent! Don't stay inactive, God!

11 Keep not silence, O God; hold not Your peace or be still, O God.

22 For behold, Your enemies make an uproar, And those who hate You have exalted themselves.

22 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

22 See how Your enemies make an uproar; those who hate You have acted arrogantly.

22 See! Your enemies rage; those who hate you issue threats.

22 For, behold, Your enemies are in tumult, and those who hate You have raised their heads.

33 They make shrewd plans against Your people, And conspire together against Your treasured ones.

33 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

33 They devise clever schemes against Your people; they conspire against Your treasured ones.

33 They plot against your people and conspire against your cherished ones.

33 They lay crafty schemes against Your people and consult together against Your hidden and precious ones.

44 They have said, "Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, That the name of Israel be remembered no more."

44 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

44 They say, "Come, let us wipe them out as a nation so that Israel's name will no longer be remembered."

44 They say, "Let us go and erase them as a nation so the name of Israel will not be remembered anymore."

44 They have said, Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be in remembrance no more.

55 For they have conspired together with one mind; Against You they make a covenant:

55 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

55 For they have conspired with one mind; they form an alliance against You-

55 Indeed, they shrewdly planned together, forming an alliance against you

55 For they have consulted together with one accord and one heart; against You they make a covenant -- "

66 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites;

66 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;

66 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites,

66 the tents of Edom, the Ishmaelites, Moab, the Hagrites,

66 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites,

77 Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;

77 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;

77 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre.

77 Gebal, Ammon, Amalek, Philistia, and the inhabitants of Tyre.

77 Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, the Philistines, with the inhabitants of Tyre.

88 Assyria also has joined with them; They have become a help to the children of Lot. Selah.

88 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.

88 Even Assyria has joined them; they lend support to the sons of Lot. Selah

88 Even Assyria joined them to strengthen the descendants of Lot. Interlude

88 Assyria also has joined with them; they have helped the children of Lot [the Ammonites and the Moabites] and have been an arm to them. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

99 Deal with them as with Midian, As with Sisera and Jabin at the torrent of Kishon,

99 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:

99 Deal with them as [You did] with Midian, as [You did] with Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River.

99 Deal with them as you did to Midian, Sisera, and Jabin at the Kishon Brook.

99 Do to them as [You did to] the Midianites, as to Sisera and Jabin at the brook of Kishon,

1010 Who were destroyed at En-dor, Who became as dung for the ground.

1010 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.

1010 They were destroyed at En-dor; they became manure for the ground.

1010 They were destroyed at En-dor and became as dung on the ground.

1010 Who perished at Endor, who became like manure for the earth.

1111 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb And all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,

1111 Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:

1111 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and all their tribal leaders like Zebah and Zalmunna,

1111 Punish their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,

1111 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, yes, all their princes as Zebah and Zalmunna,

1212 Who said, "Let us possess for ourselves The pastures of God."

1212 Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.

1212 who said, "Let us seize God's pastures for ourselves."

1212 who said, "Let us possess the pastures of God."

1212 Who say, Let us take possession for ourselves of the pastures of God.

1313 O my God, make them like the whirling dust, Like chaff before the wind.

1313 O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.

1313 Make them like tumbleweed, my God, like straw before the wind.

1313 God, set them up like dried thistles, like straw before the wind.

1313 O my God, make them like whirling dust, like stubble or chaff before the wind!

1414 Like fire that burns the forest And like a flame that sets the mountains on fire,

1414 As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;

1414 As fire burns a forest, as a flame blazes through mountains,

1414 Like a fire burning a forest, and a flame setting mountains ablaze.

1414 As fire consumes the forest, and as the flame sets the mountains ablaze,

1515 So pursue them with Your tempest And terrify them with Your storm.

1515 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.

1515 so pursue them with Your tempest and terrify them with Your storm.

1515 Pursue them with your storm and terrify them with your whirlwind.

1515 So pursue and afflict them with Your tempest and terrify them with Your tornado or hurricane.

1616 Fill their faces with dishonor, That they may seek Your name, O LORD.

1616 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.

1616 Cover their faces with shame so that they will seek Your name, Lord.

1616 Fill their faces with shame until they seek your name, God.

1616 Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek, inquire for, and insistently require Your name, O Lord.

1717 Let them be ashamed and dismayed forever, And let them be humiliated and perish,

1717 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:

1717 Let them be put to shame and terrified forever; let them perish in disgrace.

1717 Let them be humiliated and terrified permanently until they die in shame.

1717 Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever; yes, let them be put to shame and perish,

1818 That they may know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, Are the Most High over all the earth.

1818 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

1818 May they know that You alone- whose name is Yahweh- are the Most High over all the earth.

1818 Then they will know that you alone whose name is LORD are the Most High over all the earth. To the Director: On the Gittith. A Psalm by the descendants of Korah.

1818 That they may know that You, Whose name alone is the Lord, are the Most High over all the earth.
