1 For the choir director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.O Lord, You showed (A)favor to Your land;You (a)(B)restored the captivity of Jacob.

1 {To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.} LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

1 LORD you have favored your land and restored the fortunes of Jacob.

1 O Lord, You have [at last] shown favor to Your land [of Canaan];You have restored [from Babylon] the captives of Jacob (Israel).

2 You (C)forgave the iniquity of Your people;You (D)covered all their sin. (b)Selah.

2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

2 You took away Your people’s guilt;You covered all their sin.(C)Selah

2 You have forgiven the wickedness of Your people;You have covered all their sin. Selah.

3 You (E)withdrew all Your fury;You (F)turned away from Your burning anger.

3 Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.

8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

8 I will listen to what God will say;surely the Lord will declare peaceto His people, His godly ones,and not let them go back to foolish ways.(I)

8 Let me listen to what God, the LORD, says; for the LORD will promise peace to his people, to his holy ones; may they not return to foolishness.

8 I will hear [with expectant hope] what God the Lord will say,For He will speak peace to His people, to His (a)godly ones—But let them not turn again to folly.

9 Surely (O)His salvation is near to those who (h)fear Him,That (P)glory may dwell in our land.

9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

9 His salvation is very near those who fear Him,so that glory may dwell in our land.(J)

9 Surely, he will soon deliver those who fear him, for his glory will live in our land.

9 Surely His salvation is near to those who [reverently] fear Him [and obey Him with submissive wonder],That glory [the manifest presence of God] may dwell in our land.

10 (Q)Lovingkindness and (i)truth have met together;(R)Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

10 Faithful love and truth will join together;righteousness and peace will embrace.(K)

10 Gracious love and truth meet; righteousness and peace kiss.

10 Steadfast love and truth and faithfulness meet together;Righteousness and peace kiss each other.

11 (j)Truth (S)springs from the earth,And righteousness looks down from heaven.

11 Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

11 Truth will spring up from the earth,and righteousness will look down from heaven.(L)

11 Truth sprouts up from the ground, while righteousness looks down from the sky.

11 Truth springs from the earth,And righteousness looks down from heaven.

12 Indeed, (T)the Lord will give what is good,And our (U)land will yield its produce.

12 Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.

12 Also, the Lord will provide what is good,and our land will yield its crops.(M)

13 (V)Righteousness will go before HimAnd will make His footsteps into a way.

13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.
