1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
1 Come! Let us sing joyfully to the LORD! Let us shout for joy to the rock of our salvation.
1 O come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord;Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
2 Let us (C)come before His presence (D)with (a)thanksgiving,Let us shout joyfully to Him (E)with (b)psalms.
2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us shout with songs of praise to him.
2 Let us come before His presence with a song of thanksgiving;Let us shout joyfully to Him with songs.
3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
3 For the LORD is an awesome God; a great king above all divine beings.
3 For the Lord is a great GodAnd a great King above all gods,
4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
4 He holds in his hand the lowest parts of the earth and the mountain peaks belong to him.
4 In whose hand are the depths of the earth; The peaks of the mountains are His also.
5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
5 The sea that he made belongs to him, along with the dry land that his hands formed.
6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.
6 Come! Let us worship and bow down; let us kneel in the presence of the LORD, who made us.
6 O come, let us worship and bow down,Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker [in reverent praise and prayer].
7 For He is our God,And (M)we are the people of His (d)(N)pasture and the sheep of His hand.(O)Today, (e)if you would hear His voice,
7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,
7 For He is our God,and we are the people of His pasture, the sheep under His care.(a)(G)Today, if you hear His voice:(H)
7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture and the flock in his care. If only you would listen to his voice today,
8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
8 do not be stubborn like your ancestors were at Meribah, as on that day at Massah, in the wilderness,
9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
9 where your ancestors tested me. They tested me, even though they had seen my awesome deeds.
9 “When your fathers tested Me,They tried Me, even though they had seen My work [of miracles].
10 “For (S)forty years I loathed that generation,And said they are a people who err in their heart,And they do not know My ways.
10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
10 For 40 years I was disgusted with that generation;I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray;they do not know My ways.”(K)
10 For forty years I loathed that generation, so I said, "They are a people whose hearts continuously err, and they have not understood my ways."
10 “For forty years I was grieved and disgusted with that generation,And I said, ‘They are a people who err in their heart,And they do not acknowledge or regard My ways.’
11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.
11 So in my anger I declared an oath: "They are not to enter my place of rest."
