3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

3 For the Lord is a ()great GodAnd a great King ()above all gods,

3 For the Lord is a great God,a great King above all gods.()

3 For the LORD is an awesome God; a great king above all divine beings.

4 In his hand are all the corners of the earth; and the strength of the hills is his also.

4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.

4 In whose hand are the ()depths of the earth,The peaks of the mountains are His also.

4 The depths of the earth are in His hand, and the mountain peaks are His.()

4 He holds in his hand the lowest parts of the earth and the mountain peaks belong to him.

5 The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands prepared the dry land.

5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

5 ()The sea is His, for it was He ()who made it,And His hands formed the dry land.

5 The sea is His; He made it.His hands formed the dry land.()

5 The sea that he made belongs to him, along with the dry land that his hands formed.

6 O come, let us worship and fall down, and kneel before the LORD our maker.

6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

6 Come, let us ()worship and bow down,Let us ()kneel before the Lord our ()Maker.

7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hands.

7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

7 For He is our God,And ()we are the people of His ()()pasture and the sheep of His hand.()Today, ()if you would hear His voice,

7 For He is our God,and we are the people of His pasture, the sheep under His care.()()Today, if you hear His voice:()

7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture and the flock in his care. If only you would listen to his voice today,

8 Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness,

8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

8 Do not harden your hearts, as at ()()Meribah,As in the day of ()()Massah in the wilderness,

8 Do not harden your hearts as at Meribah,as on that day at Massah in the wilderness()

8 do not be stubborn like your ancestors were at Meribah, as on that day at Massah, in the wilderness,

9 when your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works.

9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.

9 “When your fathers ()tested Me,They tried Me, though they had seen My work.

9 where your fathers tested Me;they tried Me, though they had seen what I did.()

9 where your ancestors tested me. They tested me, even though they had seen my awesome deeds.

10 Forty years long was I grieved with that generation, and said, "They ever err in their hearts, they verily have not known my ways."

10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

10 “For ()forty years I loathed that generation,And said they are a people who err in their heart,And they do not know My ways.

10 For 40 years I was disgusted with that generation;I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray;they do not know My ways.”()

10 For forty years I loathed that generation, so I said, "They are a people whose hearts continuously err, and they have not understood my ways."

11 Therefore I said unto them in my wrath, that they should not enter into my rest.

11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

11 “Therefore I ()swore in My anger,Truly they shall not enter into My ()rest.”

11 So I swore in My anger,“They will not enter My rest.”()

11 So in my anger I declared an oath: "They are not to enter my place of rest."
