וַיֵּצֵ֨א
way·yê·ṣê
דָוִ֜ד
ḏā·wiḏ
בְּכֹל֩
bə·ḵōl
אֲשֶׁ֨ר
’ă·šer
יִשְׁלָחֶ֤נּוּ
yiš·lā·ḥen·nū
שָׁאוּל֙
šā·’ūl
– יַשְׂכִּ֔יל
yaś·kîl,
[and] behaved wisely –
וַיְשִׂמֵ֣הוּ
way·śi·mê·hū
and set him
שָׁא֔וּל
šā·’ūl,
עַ֖ל
‘al
אַנְשֵׁ֣י
’an·šê
the men
､ הַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה
ham·mil·ḥā·māh;
of war ､
וַיִּיטַב֙
way·yî·ṭaḇ
and he was accepted
בְּעֵינֵ֣י
bə·‘ê·nê
in the sight
כָל־
ḵāl
of all
､ הָעָ֔ם
hā·‘ām,
the people ､
וְגַ֕ם
wə·ḡam
and also
בְּעֵינֵ֖י
bə·‘ê·nê
in the sight
עַבְדֵ֥י
‘aḇ·ḏê
. שָׁאֽוּל׃
šā·’ūl.
