וַיֹּאמְרוּ֩

אֶל־

to
､ רֵעֵ֜הוּ
rê·‘ê·hū
לֹֽא־
lō-
not
– כֵ֣ן ׀
ḵên
right –
אֲנַ֣חְנוּ
’ă·naḥ·nū
we
עֹשִׂ֗ים
‘ō·śîm,
הַיּ֤וֹם
hay·yō·wm
הַזֶּה֙
haz·zeh
יוֹם־
yō·wm-
a day
､ בְּשֹׂרָ֣ה
bə·śō·rāh
of good news ､
ה֔וּא
hū,
is
וַאֲנַ֣חְנוּ
wa·’ă·naḥ·nū
and we
– מַחְשִׁ֗ים
maḥ·šîm,
וְחִכִּ֛ינוּ
wə·ḥik·kî·nū
and if we wait
עַד־
‘aḏ-
､ א֥וֹר
’ō·wr
light ､
הַבֹּ֖קֶר
hab·bō·qer
וּמְצָאָ֣נוּ
ū·mə·ṣā·’ā·nū
and will come upon us
עָו֑וֹן
‘ā·wō·wn;
וְעַתָּה֙
wə·‘at·tāh
､ לְכ֣וּ
lə·ḵū
come ､
וְנָבֹ֔אָה
wə·nā·ḇō·’āh,
and let us go
וְנַגִּ֖ידָה
wə·nag·gî·ḏāh
and tell
בֵּ֥ית
bêṯ
. הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
ham·me·leḵ.
of the king .
