on the ground ､
. יִדְּמוּ֙
yid·də·mū
[and] keep silence .
זִקְנֵ֣י
ziq·nê
The elders
בַת־
ḇaṯ-
of the daughter
צִיּ֔וֹן
ṣî·yō·wn,
of Zion
הֶֽעֱל֤וּ
he·‘ĕ·lū
עָפָר֙
‘ā·p̄ār
עַל־
‘al-
on
– רֹאשָׁ֔ם
rō·šām,
חָגְר֖וּ
ḥā·ḡə·rū
שַׂקִּ֑ים
śaq·qîm;
הוֹרִ֤ידוּ
hō·w·rî·ḏū
. לָאָ֙רֶץ֙
lā·’ā·reṣ
to the ground .
רֹאשָׁ֔ן
rō·šān,
בְּתוּלֹ֖ת
bə·ṯū·lōṯ
. יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃
yə·rū·šā·lim.
