'Believed God' in the Bible
And Abram believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.
So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
He brought them into his house, set a meal before them, and rejoiced because he had believed God with his entire household.
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
(As it has been written, That have set thee father of many nations,) over against him who believed God, making alive the dead, and calling things not being as being.
Now in response to the [proclamation of the] good news [about Christ], the Jews became [God's] enemies for the sake of you [Gentiles]. But concerning [God's] select people, these Jews became [God's] dearly loved ones for the sake of their forefathers [i.e, who believed God's promises regarding their descendants].
For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
Faithful is the saying, and concerning these things I desire that thou affirm confidently, to the end that they who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men:
And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
