'My Blood' in the Bible
Now therefore, let not my blood fall to the earth before the face of the LORD: for the king of Israel is come out to seek a flea, as when one doth hunt a partridge in the mountains.
O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have no place.
What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
for [the] day of vengeance [was] in my heart, and the year of my blood-vengeance has come!

and if my blood should serve as a libation to ratify your faith, I should rejoice and congratulate with you all thereupon;
as for me, my blood will soon be pour'd out, and the time of my departure draws nigh:
