Mark 10:46-52 - A Blind Man Healed At Jericho
46 And they came to Jericho: and as he was going out of Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timseus, was sitting on the roadside, begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say: Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me! 48 And many rebuked him, that he should be silent. But he cried out yet the more: Son of David, have mercy on me!
49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they called the blind man, and said to him: Take courage; arise, he calls you. 50 And throwing away his mantle, he arose, and came to Jesus.
51 And Jesus answered and said to him: What do you wish me to do for you? The blind man said to him: Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.
52 And Jesus said to him: Go, your faith has saved you. And he immediately received his sight, and followed Jesus on the road.
35 And it came to pass, that, as he came near to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the road begging. 36 And when he heard the multitude passing by, he asked what this meant. 37 And they told him that Jesus the Nazarene was passing by.
38 And he cried out and said: Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me. 39 And those who went before rebuked him, that he should be silent. But he cried so much the more: Son of David, have mercy on me.
40 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be brought to him. And when he came near, he asked him, 41 saying: What do you wish me to do for you? he replied: Lord, that I may receive my sight.
42 And Jesus said to him: Receive your sight; your faith has saved you. 43 And he immediately received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
