Matthew 15:21-28 - A Canaanite Woman's Great Faith
And, going forth thence, Jesus withdrew into the parts of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And, behold, a Canaanitish woman, having come forth out of those borders, cried out, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a demon!"
But He answered her not a word. And His disciples, coming near, were beseeching Him, saying, "Send her away; for she is crying after us!"
But He, answering, said, "I was not sent, except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
But she, coming, was worshiping Him, saying, "Lord, help me!"
And He, answering, said, "It is not good to take the children's bread and cast it to the little dogs." 27 But she said, "Yes, Lord; for even the little dogs eat of the crumbs falling from the master's table."
Then Jesus, answering, said to her, "O woman, great is your faith! be it done to you as you wish." And her daughter was healed from that hour.
