Mark 12:41-44 - A Poor Widow's Offering

Mark 12:41-44

41 And, haring taken a seat over against the treasury, He was beholding how the multitude cast money into the treasury; and many who were rich cast in much. 42 And one poor widow, coming, cast in two mites, which is a farthing. 43 And, calling to Him His disciples, He said to them, "Verily I say to you, this poor widow cast in more than all who are casting into the treasury; 44 for they all did cast in out of their abundance; but she out of her want cast in all that she had??er whole living."

Luke 21:1-4

1 And, looking up, He saw the rich casting their gifts into the treasury. 2 And He saw a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. 3 And He said, "Truly I say to you, this poor widow cast in more than they all; 4 for all these, out of their superabundance, cast into the gifts; but she, out of her poverty, cast in all the living that she had."
