Mark 7:24-30 - A Syrophoenician Woman's Great Faith

24 He left that place and went to the neighborhood of Tyre and Sidon. And he went into a certain house, and wanted no one to know of it. And he could not keep it secret, 25 but a woman whose little daughter was possessed by a foul spirit immediately heard about him and came and threw herself at his feet. 26 Now the woman was a Greek, of Syrophoenician birth. And she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter. 27 He said to her, "Let the children first eat all they want, for it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."

28 But she answered, "True, sir! and still the dogs under the table eat what the children leave!"

29 He said to her, "If you can say that, go home; the demon has left your daughter." 30 And she went home and found the child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.
