Luke 23:6-12 - Jesus Brought Before Herod

⁶ But Pilate, hearing it, asked if the Man were a Galilaean. ⁷ And, learning that He was of Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him up to Herod, who also was in Jerusalem in these days. ⁸ Now Herod, seeing Jesus, rejoiced exceedingly; for he was wishing for a long time to see Him, because he had heard concerning Him; and he was hoping to see some sign wrought by Him. ⁹ And he kept questioning Him in many words; but He answered him nothing. ¹⁰ And the high priests and the scribes stood, vehemently accusing Him. ¹¹ And Herod with his soldiers, having set Him at naught, and having mocked Him, having thrown over Him a gorgeous robe, sent Him back to Pilate. ¹² And Herod and Pilate became friends with each other on that day; for before they were at enmity between themselves.
