Matthew 20:17-19 - Jesus Predicts His Death And Resurrection A Third Time

Matthew 20:17-19

17 Now as Jesus was about to go up to Jerusalem he took the twelve aside by themselves and said to them as they were on the road, 18 "We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man will be betrayed to the high priests and scribes; they will sentence him to death 19 and hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified; then on the third day he will be raised."

Mark 10:32-34

32 They were on the way up to Jerusalem, Jesus walking in front of them: the disciples were in dismay and the company who followed were afraid. So once again he took the twelve aside and proceeded to tell them what was going to happen to himself.

33 "We are going up to Jerusalem," he said, "and the Son of man will be betrayed to the high priests and scribes; they will sentence him to death and hand him over to the Gentiles, 34 who will mock him, spit on him, scourge him, and kill him; then after three days he will rise again."

Luke 18:31-34

31 Then he took the twelve aside and told them, "We are going up to Jerusalem, and all the predictions of the prophets regarding the Son of man will be fulfilled; 32 he will be betrayed to the Gentiles, mocked, illtreated, and spat on; 33 they will scourge him and kill him, but he will rise again on the third day."

34 However, they did not understand a word of this; indeed the saying was hidden from them, and they did not know what he meant.
