Luke 9:18-20 - Peter's Confession
And it was in his being alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom do the crowds say me to be?
And they having answered, said, John the Immerser; and others, Elias; and others, that a certain prophet of the ancients has risen up.
And he said to them, And whom say ye me to be? And Peter having answered said, The Christ of God.
From this many of his disciples went away back, and walked no more with him. 67 Then said Jesus to the twelve, And ye will not go away?
Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go away? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69 And we have believed, and known, that thou art Christ, Son of the living God.
Jesus answered them, Have I not chosen you twelve, and of you one is a devil? 71 And he spake of Judas Iscariot, of Simon: for he was about to deliver him up, being one of the twelve.
