Matthew 24:15-28 - The Abomination Of Desolation

Matthew 24:15-28

15 When you see the disgusting abomination of desolation (unclean thing) spoken about through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that reads understand), 16 you in Judea flee to the mountains; 17 you on the housetop do not go down to remove the things in your house. 18 You in the field do not return to get your clothes. 19 You who are pregnant or nursing babies in those days will feel trouble. 20 Pray that your flight not be in the winter, neither on a Sabbath. 21 There will be great tribulation. It will be greater than any has ever been from the beginning of the world until now. 22 Unless those days are shortened, no flesh will be saved. For the sake of the chosen ones (selected individuals), those days will be shortened.

23 If someone says, 'Here is the Christ,' or, 'Over there is the Christ,' do not believe it. 24 There will be false Christs and false prophets. They will show great signs and wonders so that many will be misled. This includes some of the chosen ones. 25 Remember, I told you before it happens. 26 If they say, 'Look, he is in the wilderness,' or, 'He is in the inner chambers,' do not believe it. 27 Lightning comes from the east and is seen in the west. The coming of the Son of man is like this. 28 The eagles will gather at the place of the carcass.

Mark 13:14-23

14 When you see the unclean thing that makes desolation standing where he ought not (let the reader use discernment), then let them that are in Judea flee to the mountains. 15 He who is on the housetop should not go down to enter and take anything out his house. 16 He who is in the field should not return to take his clothes. 17 Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 18 Pray that this not be in the winter. 19 The tribulation in these days will be greater then there has ever been from the beginning of God's creation until now, and never shall be. 20 Unless Jehovah shortened the days no flesh would be saved. For the sake of his chosen anointed he will shorten the days.

21 If any man will say to you here is the Christ or there is the Christ do not believe it. 22 There will arise false Christs and false prophets. They show signs and wonders that will mislead many, even the anointed. 23 Be alert for I have told you all things beforehand.
