Matthew 24:1-2 - The Destruction Of The Temple Predicted

¹ As Jesus left the Temple, His disciples approached Him as He was walking along the road and pointed out the Temple buildings. ² He responded to them by saying, "Do you see all these structures? Truly I tell you, there will not be one stone left on another here that will not be thrown down."

¹ As Jesus left the Temple, one of His disciples said to Him, "Teacher, look at the kind of stones these buildings are made of "

² And Jesus responded to him, "Do you see these huge buildings? There will not be one stone left on another here that will not be thrown down."

⁵ Then, as someone [i.e., of His disciples. See Mark 13:1], spoke of how the Temple was decorated with beautiful stones and objects dedicated as gifts, Jesus said, ⁶ "As for these things you are looking at, the time will come when there will not be one stone left on another here that will not be thrown down."
