Mark 16:9-20 - The Longer Ending Of Mark

⁹ Now when Jesus had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven demons. ¹⁰ And she went and told it to those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept. ¹¹ And though they heard that he was alive, and had been seen by her, they did not believe. ¹² After this he appeared in another form to two of them, as they walked and went into the country. ¹³ And they went and told it to the rest. But they did not believe them.

¹⁴ Afterward he appeared to the eleven as they reclined at table; and he reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had risen. ¹⁵ And he said to them: Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. ¹⁶ He that believes and is immersed, shall be saved; he that believes not, shall be condemned. ¹⁷ And these signs shall attend those who believe. In my name they shall cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; ¹⁸ they shall take up serpents; and, if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

¹⁹ The Lord, therefore, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven: and he sat down at the right hand of God. ²⁰ And they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.

⁹ Salute Urbanus, our fellow-workman in Christ, and Stachys my beloved. ¹⁰ Salute Appelles, approved in Christ. Salute those who are of the household of Aristobulus. ¹¹ Salute Herodion, my kinsman. Salute those of the household of Narcissus, who are in the Lord. ¹² Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labored in the Lord. Salute Persis the beloved, who labored much in the Lord. ¹³ Salute Rufus, the chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine. ¹⁴ Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hernias, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren with them. ¹⁵ Salute Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints that are with them. ¹⁶ Salute one another with a holy kiss. The churches of the Christ salute you.

¹⁷ Now I beseech you, brethren, to mark those who make divisions and cause offenses in opposition to the teaching which you have learned, and avoid them. ¹⁸ For such serve not our Lord Christ, but their own appetites; and, by good words and fair speeches, they deceive the hearts of the simple.

¹⁹ For your obedience has gone abroad to all men: I rejoice, therefore, on your account. But I desire you to be wise in respect to that which is good, and guileless in respect to that which is evil. ²⁰ The God of peace will soon bruise Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you
